Hit Coffee is now finally using the HitCoffee.com address I managed to snag a long time ago. It is also now current on WordPress. Which means that there will be increased functionality. And probably no math problems.

I will write more about this later, but I wanted to go ahead and make the announcement before anybody else left comments over at the other place.

Comments at this site are closed. All of the posts from the other site have been moved over. Which actually took quite a bit of work, since there is no direct upgrade path from WordPress 1.5 to 3.5 (they recommend you upgrade sequentially, every other release between). The comment ordering appears to have been a casualty to the transition, but I can deal with that.

There is still more work to do here, but I wanted to pull the trigger.

Very soon, the front page of the old site will automatically forward to this one. Soon after that, the old site will cease to exist. However, dot-net will mirror dot-com and dot-co, so you don’t have to update your bookmarks. If you use RSS, though, you will need to update that. RSS feed links are on the sidebar.

About the Author

Will Truman (trumwill) is a southern transplant in the mountain west with an IT background who bides his time substitute teaching and taking care of their daughter while his wife brings home the bacon. You will probably be relieved to know that he does not generally refer to himself in the third-person except when he's writing short bios on his web page.

Are comments working over here? Testing . . .

You’ve got “notify me of follow-ups”. Cool.

Mmmm . . . your reply didn’t generate an email that I could find, even though I checked my spam folder. Maybe I mistyped my email address . . .

    • trumwill says:

Well crap. The email looks right. I am getting my notifications, but that doesn’t change the fact that you aren’t getting yours. I’ll look into it.

    • trumwill says:

Hurm. I just left a comment under an alternate email address so that I could see if it would work and it did. At least, I got an email asking me to confirm. Did it maybe go to your spam folder?

  3. Mr. Blue says:

    Let me test it.

    • Mr. Blue says:

Is it going to ask me for confirmation every time I want to follow a post?

It seems like it worked, though. It asked me for a confirmation. As soon as someone else comments, we’ll see if it actually sends the emails.

      So comment, somebody.

Is it going to ask me for confirmation every time I want to follow a post?

I’m afraid so. This happened over at the League for a while, but then it stopped happening. I’ll have to see what they did.

Okay, all the emails came in. Good to go.

Arapaho

Greetings from Callie, Arapaho, a red town in a red state known for growing red meat. And from Redstone, Arapaho (Aw-RAH-pah-hoe), a blue city with blue collar roots that's been feeling blue for quite some time.

Nothing written on this site should be taken as strictly true, though if the author were making it all up rest assured the main character and his life would be a lot less unremarkable.
