Our grocery store when I was growing up had one, and sometimes my mom would give me the quarter (or dime, or nickle, whatever it was) and I would ride it. It probably wasn’t really that cool. But there’s a strong nostalgia factor about it, and I’m not sure why. While it’s not a bad memory by any means, it’s not among my most cherished. There’s just something neat about it.
As to the first link, I somewhat doubt whether people scared off by the poor job prospects for law school graduates will opt for MBA programs in significant numbers. Business schools require some computer and math skills that are lacking in most of the liberal arts types who go to law school.

Ever since the political response to 9/11 became clear, it’s been obvious that our political & economic elites will be our doom long before any other nation-state.
So the TSA article: Perhaps it is precisely because I’m a horrible, evil person, but I am honestly surprised that someone has not yet attacked a TSA security line before they got to the scanning machines.
